Facial Peels

Facial peels are one of our most requested treatments, as they deliver an outstanding polish to the skin almost immediately, with minimal or no downtime. They are designed to remove layers of tired, lackluster or dull looking skin, even-out skin tone and reveal new layers of fresher, brighter, glowing skin underneath.

We offer a wide selection of industry-leading peels of varying strengths and depths to suit each individual patient, their lifestyle and needs. These range from light everyday peels to deeper medical peels that can be used to treat acne and other skin conditions. We will discuss which peel is right for you at your consultation, based on your skin type, your skin condition and your treatment objective. Some of our most popular peels include:.

  • Medik8 skin peels: One of our most common peels for an instantly brighter and glowing look. Medik8 offer a range of peels to suit all skin types and concerns. (A consultation and patch test is required)
  • Obagi Blue Radiance Peel: A light, refreshing peel for all our Obagi fans.

We are able to ‘tweak’ and adapt peels to meet specific patient needs. Tailored aftercare products will be massaged into your skin following your peel to enhance your treatment results. Full aftercare advice will be provided.

Frequently Asked Questions

Facial peels are suitable for most people, but we will not recommend them if you are suffering from eczema, psoriasis or a medically compromised skin condition. If you have an active skin condition in the area requiring treatment, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, an alternative treatment may be suggested. Your medical history and allergies will also be considered prior to your treatment taking place.

While facial peels carry minor risks (e.g. redness/excessive flaking), we successfully treat thousands of patients each year. All our skin peels are delivered to exacting industry safety standards and guidelines and are always performed by an experienced and qualified Glasshouse practitioner.

You will feel a tingle or itch to the skin once the peel is applied and this will continue after the peel has been neutralised. Your practitioner will ensure that you feel completely comfortable throughout your treatment.

Depending on the peel selected, you may experience mild redness and/or some mild skin shedding after your peel. We call this facial dandruff! This will usually disappear with 24 hours, leaving your skin looking refreshed and rejuvenated.

Usually none. Your skin may look flushed for 10 minutes after treatment and a light shedding of old skin for 1-2 days may follow, depending on the type of peel given.
